MISSION:

Makana Hoe Outrigger Canoe Club is a family oriented organization perpetuating and emulating a sense of ohana and aloha achieved through:

·        Respect for traditional Polynesian cultural practices, beliefs and philosophies that are intrinsically a part of the ancient sport of Polynesian outrigger canoe paddling

·        Maintaining and perpetuating the “Aloha Spirit” and Polynesian culture through exposing and educating women, men and children in the arts, crafts, history and sport of Polynesian outrigger canoe paddling regardless of race or creed

·        Providing opportunities to sponsor and participate in amateur competitive local, national and international outrigger canoe racing
